What are the main differences between the Miku Original and the Miku Pro?
Sensor Size: The larger sensor size on Miku Pro means that more light can be absorbed by each pixel for enhanced monitoring in low-light and darkness.
Field of View: Wider field of view (FOV) allows you to see more of the environment around your baby's crib.
8-Core Processor: More cores allow for more parallel processing and more of Miku's advanced algorithms.
Ambient Light Sensor: Miku Pro's digital light sensor provides a more comprehensive picture of how the environment in the room can affect the baby's sleep.

Can I use the Original Miku Baby Monitor with the Miku Pro Baby Monitor?
Yes. You can use the Miku App with both the Original Miku Smart Baby Monitor and Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor.
How close does my baby have to be to the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor?
When a baby is lying in a standard crib, the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor is optimized for a position above the center of the crib 60 inches from the floor.
Will the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor work if my baby is wearing a onesie or a swaddle?
Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor will work with any clothes your baby is wearing. Blankets, covers, or swaddles will also not prevent the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor from working.
When should I begin using my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor?
We recommend you begin to use your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor when your baby is sleeping in a bassinet or crib. Please note, Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor works best when your baby is sleeping alone in a crib.
Is WiFi required for my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor to work?
The Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor requires WiFi connectivity to send you alerts, notifications, and other important messages. However, the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor’s core monitoring functions process locally, which means the Miku Pro can still stream live video and data to your phone even if your router loses connection to the internet, as long as your phone remains connected to the same WiFi network.
Will Miku work in low light conditions?
Miku features advanced night vision optics and can read breathing waveforms even in total darkness.
What’s my WiFi speed?
To test your WiFi speed, while connected to a WiFi network go to https://mikucare.com/speed Select “Go” to capture your download and upload speed for your internet.
Why does my Miku baby monitor use WiFi instead of Bluetooth?
WiFi offers a more secure connection to your Miku baby monitor along with larger bandwidth for video. Your Miku baby monitor also uses Crypto Chip Security protection that goes far beyond just software protection.
What devices are compatible with my Miku baby monitor?
Your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor and associated app are compatible with Apple iPhones running iOS 13 or later and with Android phones running version 5.0 (API 21/+). Huawei phones are currently not compatible with the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor.
What if I don’t have a smartphone?
At this time, the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor requires a compatible smartphone or tablet to download the Miku app and set up the device.
Can my Miku app be viewed from a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartwatch?
Both iOS and Android apps will function properly on most tablet devices. - Android tablets are currently utilizing a design optimized for a phone's dimensions the screen should be filled, but the display on tablets is controlled by the Android operating system. - Android users should be able to search for the Miku Baby Monitor app in the Play Store and will find it as long as it's compatible with their tablet. If not found, please report the tablet model and Android OS version as old versions may be incompatible. We are currently working to optimize the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor app for the Apple Watch and other tablet devices.
What do the LED colors on my Miku mean?
There there are 5 stable states in the miku pairing process:
- State 1 is initially brief and not worth indicating to start but transition to State 1 is an error condition.
- State 2 is the *IDLE *state as miku gathers WiFi information
- State 3 is the *SUCCESS *state for transmitting WiFi information
- State 4 is while *CONNECTING *to the selected WiFi
- State 5 is *CONNECTED *to the selected WiFi
- State 6 is *COMPLETE *
User Controls
From the General Setting screen (Settings → General Settings), a user can change the brightness of the LED from full brightness to just barely on with a horizontal slider. There is also a two-position slide switch to turn the LED off or on. This will affect all of the possible light patterns. Jira Ticket MNG-878 has been created to address the case where the LED is off when the user enters Pairing Mode.
Does my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor come with a monitor for viewing?
Your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor does not require a separate monitor for viewing. All you need is your smartphone and the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor app.
Is my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor a medical device?
Your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, alleviate or prevent any disease or health condition or investigate, replace or modify any physiological process. You are responsible for the health and wellbeing of your baby and following safe sleep, health, and care guidelines.
What happens when I take my baby out of the crib?
When your baby is removed from the crib and no longer within range, your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor will automatically engage the 'Away' state.
Where do the alerts appear and how do they sound?
When an alert is triggered, based on your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor alert settings, your smartphone may receive a push notification and/or a sound alert from the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor app.
How does my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor alert me if my smartphone is on silent or notifications are turned off?
The Miku app will always default to your smartphone’s settings. If you want to hear your Miku app alerts, you must turn your smartphone’s sound on. Note that you can enable 'Critical Alerts' for the app on your iOS phone which override your smartphone’s silence settings but you must also have "Audible Alerts" turned on in the app's notification settings.
Is everything controlled on my smartphone?
Yes, you can control the settings for your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor via your Miku app on your smartphone.
Can my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor be removed for travel?
Yes, your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor can be removed from its wall mount for travel.
Can I use multiple Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitors in different rooms?
Yes, multiple Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitors can be used in different rooms.
Does my smartphone have to be on 24/7?
Your smartphone does not need to be on for your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor to work; however, your smartphone will need to be on for you to receive real-time alerts and use the Miku app.
Does my family/sitter watching my baby need the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor app too?
Anyone who wants to view your baby with a Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor will need to download the Miku app for access. NOTE: You control who gets access privileges from your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor app.

What is SensorFusion?
Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor’s proprietary SensorFusion technology combines optical and wireless sensing with advanced signal processing to extract breathing waveforms, motion sensing, audio sensing, and nursery conditions. SensorFusion creates a level of awareness and insights for parents never possible until now.
How long are my motion, sound, and noise events stored?
All recorded activity events are available in your Miku app for 7 days. To keep these events longer, we recommend downloading them to your smartphone or sharing them to your computer via email.
Does the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor have a range limit?
Within your home, the distance from your router to the Miku can impact the performance. Every setup is different and can be impacted by the number of floors and/or walls in between, the construction material, large objects or obstructions etc. Also note that 5 GHz Wi-Fi has a shorter range than 2.4 GHz, but is less susceptible to interference from being overcrowded. Assuming you have an adequate signal to your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor, you can access it from anywhere in the world your phone has an internet connection.
Which wireless frequency does the Miku pro use?
The Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor is compatible with 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, however, we recommend connecting through a 5.0Ghz connection if available.
Can I set access restrictions for different users?
There are two types of users for each Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor, the owner and shared users. The owner has the ability to add or remove shared users from having access to the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor.
How do I turn my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor camera off?
You can place your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor in standby mode by either pressing the button on top of the monitor once or using the power button in the app. When Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor is in standby it does not stream or record videos or monitor respiration. It does remain connected to your network to check for updates.
Does every phone/tablet need its own Miku account?
For the best experience, each user should set up an individual Miku account. It is also recommended that you use a separate account for tablets and/or additional phones. This ensures that all devices will receive notifications from Miku.
Why is My Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor showing breathing over an empty bassinet/crib?
In rare cases there may be factors in your environment that can cause your Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor to detect a signal. Examples can include other living things, such as a pet, other electronic devices in close proximity, large metal surfaces or moving objects.
Will my Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor work with a bassinet?
Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor will work in a standard bassinet, but is designed to work best when your baby sleeps alone. If you are trying to monitor the baby while sleeping in close proximity it is possible to impact the performance. Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor will not detect respiration reliably if you use a bassinet that rocks or otherwise uses motion to soothe your baby, such as the Snoo.
What security is required on my wireless network?
To protect your data, Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor does not currently support open Wi-Fi networks or those with WEP encryption. You can view your network's security implementation from your phone's Wi-Fi menu.
Are the Original Miku Smart Baby Monitor cables/floor stand compatible with the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor?
